Yearbook

We are happy to announce that two students from Grade 8 and M. Rémillard will be preparing a 2023-2024 yearbook for students and families. Online orders for the yearbook will be open soon. A notification will be sent via SchoolCash Online. The cost for the ESNI yearbook is $27. Orders will not be taken in September since the number of yearbooks has to be predetermined before the end of June. They will be available in September. Do not hesitate to contact the office if you require assistance.

Camp Red Rock

Our grade 5/6 students are looking forward to their Spring Camp (May 22 to 24) at Camp Red Rock near Rennie. Outdoor activities include archery, mountain biking, orienteering, collaborative games, etc. An information meeting for parents and guardians will be held at the school on Wednesday, April 10th.

Indigenous Perspectives

Elder Stan Kipling will continue visiting the school over the next months. The focus of the learning will be on the environment surrounding the school. Learning about the history, the animals and plants that are in the area are important knowledge to gain. The students truly appreciate Elder Stan and enjoy interacting with him. His calm demeanor and patient vibe create a fun learning environment for students. He is open to student curiosity and questions.

Solar Eclipse

As per Ministry directives, student will be kept indoors (lunch and afternoon) on Monday, April 8th. This is to prevent possible eye damage from the partial solar eclipse that will be occurring on that day. Please see the attached information document as reference guide for parents and staff.

Day of Pink

April 12th is the National Day of Pink in support of inclusion and respect for LGBTQ individuals and rights. At ESNI, we will be honoring this tradition as well as including a larger message of openness and respect for all individuals regardless of gender, identity, race or beliefs. Since 12th is a professional development day, we will be celebrating on April 11th. Students are encouraged to wear pink clothing and/or accessories.
